How We Started
Dr. Drew Shabo has practiced chairside since 1998. He opened the lab to use himself in 2008 because lab costs were hurting his patients. His daughter, Lexi, joined in 2024 to fix the big thing labs get wrong: communication. Drew does the clinical work and consults. Lexi onboards every office and handles each follow-up and invoice. When you work with Shabo Dental Lab, you're working with family.

Frequently Asked Questions
About 9 to 10 days on average for a crown, counted from the day your case arrives at the lab to the day it lands back at your office. That includes weekends and shipping. The honest range is 7 to 13 days. Bigger cases like implants and partials run longer, usually 14 to 17 days, because we would rather get the design right than ship it fast. February is our one slow stretch each year. We will tell you that number straight instead of promising you a week and delivering nine days.
An office that needs a 5 day turnaround. We cannot hit that without raising what we charge you, so we would rather say no than take the case and miss.
Crowns and bridges, dentures, partials and flexible partials, night guards, veneers, implant cases, and full mouth reconstruction. If a doctor asks for something that is not on our price sheet, we will still make it. Ask.

Yes. We take files from 3Shape, iTero, Shining 3D, DS Core, Medit and Dexis. If you are not sure how to send us a file from your scanner, tell us which one you have and we will walk you through it.
Send them. Ask us for a shipping label and we will get one out to you. We charge $16 to pour and convert the first impression, and $5 for each additional impression in the same box. That covers shipping and conversion on our end.
We remake it free. Every crown we make also carries a 5 year warranty, no questions asked.
